EcoCharge and Entertain + Sustain collaborations

Entertain + Sustain is happy to announce that it is collaborating for the English festival and event market with EcoCharge. In the last weeks the first steps have been made to integrate our offering and be able to present to clients a complete portfolio of sustainability experiences, ranging from human powered phone loading systems to solar panel based interactive installations.

Research and development
Currently Entertain + Sustain is researching the different characteristics of festival visitors. The resulting personas and character profiles are based on insights gathered during events over the summer, discussions and workshops with EcoCharge personnel and customer conversations, both on- and offline. The following development phases will build upon these personas to guide the development of innovative new sustainable interaction concepts for outdoor festivals.

Pea Awards 3 March 2011
In the meantime the first collaboration between Ecocharge and Entertain + Sustain has taken place during the Pea Awards in the National Geographic Store, London. Ecocharge installed several bikes that were used to recharge the phones of the visitors, powered by many sportsmen and women, including a south pole expedition team.
The Sustainable Dance Club presented the ‘Green Carpet’. The sustainable dance floor was hereby used to trigger a photo camera that took a picture when enough energy was generated by the people walking the ‘carpet’. Entertain + Sustain took care of the installation and operation of the floor.
Pictures will arive soon!

The collaborations with both EcoCharge and Sustainable Dance Floor on this event were successful and resulted in a great interactive sustainability experience for the award show visitors. We hope to build on this success and offer many more exciting experiences in theUK in the near future.
